In the framework of the activities aimed at redeveloping peripheral areas of Italy and attracting tourist flows to lesser-known destinations, the “Valore Paese-Dimore” initiative was launched in 2013 with the objective of redeveloping prestigious public buildings within historical, artistic and landscape value, selected throughout the national territory to be reused for tourism, accommodation and cultural purposes. The “Valore Paese” initiative was subsequently strengthened with two new projects: “Lighthouses, Towers, and Coastal Buildings” as well as “Paths and Routes”.
