Visit of the Ambassador of Italy in Ethiopia to the Italian Military Support Base in Djibouti.

On the occasion of the end of the 15th Bilateral Training Mission of Somali and Djibouti Police Forces by the Carabinieri, H.E. Agostino Palese, Ambassador of Italy in Ethiopia with accreditation in Djibouti, accompanied by the Defence Attaché at the Italian Embassy in Addis Ababa, Col. Antonio Sgobba, visited the Italian Military Support Base (BMIS) in Djibouti.

On the same day, Ambassador Palese also greeted the personnel serving on board the FREMM “Martinengo”, a naval unit engaged in the EU NAVFOR Somalia – Operation Atalanta – a European Union military diplomatic mission established to prevent and suppress acts of maritime piracy along the coasts of the Horn of Africa States.
