A little less than a year after the first issue, a new edition of the publication “Excellence: Italian Main Industrial Sectors” offers a concise overview of Italian excellence in the leading sectors of the “Made in Italy” designation. Many sectors are added to this new edition: leading categories that range from infrastructure and transport to cosmetics, boilermaking for large installations, the cruise industry, and the restoration and conservation of cultural heritage.
Although the presentation of the various sectors is concise, an attempt has been made to highlight Italy’s many achievements, from those in the environmental sustainability of agriculture and industry to its excellence in innovation and research, by way of geographical indications, and to sites recognised as “UNESCO World Heritage”.
Organised by the Directorate-General for the Promotion of the Country System of the Foreign Ministry, this initiative is part of the promotional and communication activities carried out under the Export Pact and is an easy-to-use quick reference tool for promoting and enhancing Italian excellence around the world.
