We would like to inform that due to the recent restrictions imposed by the rapid evolution of the Covid-19 (Coronavirus) epidemic, the Consular Chancery of the Embassy of Italy in Ethiopia starting from March 19 only provides urgent services for Italian citizens, such as:
- Passport issuance
- issue of the Emergency Travel Document (ETD)
- operational assistance limited to emergencies

Visa Services
We would like to inform that the VFS Global Visa Application Centre will resume operations related to Italy Visa from 26 October 2020.
All visa categories will be accepted, excluding tourist visas.
For business travelers staying longer than 5 days, 2 weeks quarantine would be mandatory with or without COVID negative result.
The VFS Global Visa Application Centre will be open on Mondays and Wednesdays, from 08:00 AM to 01:00 PM, until further notice.
The visa office of This Embassy reopened the normal operations for long term visas (over 90 days), Monday to Fridays, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, except for tourist visas until further notice.
