FDRE Minister of Education pays a visit to the Italian School in Addis Ababa

The Minister of Education of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, H.E. Dr. Tilaye Gete, has paid today for the first time in history a visit to primary, middle and high school of the Italian State School “Galileo Galilei”. The Minister visited the school, which was establish in 1954, accompanied by Ambassador of Italy to Ethiopia, H.E. Amb. Arturo Luzzi, and by the Head Master of the Italian School, Mrs. Stefania Pasqualoni. The Italian School has over 880 students from which more than 70% are Ethiopian Nationals.

H.E. Dr. Tilaye Gete attended to a theater play named “Trial to Pinocchio” organized by the students of the school in the Auditorium of the Italian Cultural Institute. The play is part of the activities organized in the framework of the celebration of the 19th edition of the “Week of the Italian language in the world”.
