The Ambassador of Italy in Ethiopia, Arturo Luzzi, had a meeting with the Executive Secretary of the Intergovernmental Authority for Development (IGAD), H.E. Ambassador Mahaboub Maalim.
During the meeting, Ambassador Luzzi presented to Ambassador Maalim his designation letter as Permanent Representative to IGAD and discussed topics of common interest, reaffirming Italy’s constant commitment to the Organization, also in its role of co-President of the IGAD Partners’ Forum (IPF).
Italy has ensured, also for 2018, a financial contribution for IGAD’s activities in the field of peace and security, fight against terrorism and strengthening of the institutional capacities of the regional Organization.
