ETHIOPIA: ITALIAN ARCHAEOLOGICAL MISSION DISCOVERS ANCIENT CHILD FOOTPRINTS OF 700,000 YEARS AGO (GOMBORE II -2 TO MELKA KUNTURE)

An Italian archaeological mission has discovered in Melka Kunture, a site 50 km south of Addis Ababa, children footprints of 700,000 years ago. 

The discovery, funded by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, was carried out by a group led by Dr. Flavio Altamura and Margherita Mussi of the Sapienza University of Rome.
