As part of its action to combat climate change, Italy has launched the ‘Youth4Climate’ platform to encourage the participation of younger generations in climate negotiations. In this context, thiss year the third edition of the ‘Call for Solutions’ will take place, a tool intended to finance projects dedicated to combating climate change presented by young people from vulnerable countries. The initiative is aimed at young people aged 18 to 29 who wish to present projects in the following thematic areas:
- Sustainable Energy – Innovation and access to clean energy
- Food and Agriculture – Climate-resilient agricultural practices
- Climate and Health – Impacts of climate change on public health
- Digital for the Planet – Digital technologies for climate resilience
- Climate, Peace and Security – Climate action in conflict areas
- Nature – Nature-based solutions for adaptation and mitigation
Deadline for submitting projects: from February 26 to May 26, 2025. Projects can be submitted in English, French, Spanish and Portuguese. Through Youth4Climate, young people will not only be able to benefit from funding of USD 30,000 per project, but will also have access to pathways to improve their skills, to enhance the effectiveness and scalability of their initiatives.
