The Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation promotes the internationalisation of Italian research and scientific diplomacy as fundamental tools for the development of cooperation between Italy and the rest of the world.
The network of Scientific Attachés – the promotion of Italian science and technology, contacts between Italian and foreign S&T institutions, the coordination of activities, relations with universities and the facilitation of scientific, technological and academic exchanges are entrusted to the Scientific Attachés.
In Ethiopia, there is one Science and Technology Attaché. Currently, this position is held at the Embassy in Addis Ababa by Dr. Laura Elena Pacifici Noja.
