Addis Ababa, January 25, 2021. Italy and Djibouti signed the Debt Service Suspension Agreement.<\/p>\n
Italy is among the promoters of the G20 initiative for the suspension of debt service.<\/p>\n
Due to the severe global pandemic emergency, the suspension of payments is extended to June 30, 2021 with the possibility of an additional extension of 6 months.<\/p>\n
The signing of the Agreement testifies the Italian commitment and support to Djibouti in its growth path as well as the sincere and deep friendship between the two countries.<\/p>\n
The Agreement was signed by Ambassador Luzzi and the Djiboutian Ambassador to Ethiopia Mohammed Idriss Farah.<\/p>\n

25 janvier 2021. Italie et Djibouti ont sign\u00e9 l\u2019Accord pour la suspension du service de la dette.<\/p>\n
L\u2019Italie est l\u2019un des promoteurs de l\u2019initiative du G20 pour la suspension du service de la dette (ISSD) en faveur des pays les plus endett\u00e9s, dans le contexte des actions men\u00e9es au niveau multilat\u00e9ral pour att\u00e9nuer l\u2019impact de la pand\u00e9mie. En raison de la gravit\u00e9 de l\u2019\u00e9mergence sanitaire, la suspension des paiements de capitaux et int\u00e9r\u00eats sur la dette des Pays d\u00e9biteurs est \u00e9tendue jusqu\u2019au 30 juin 2021, avec la possibilit\u00e9 d\u2019une extension suppl\u00e9mentaire de six moins.<\/p>\n
La signature de l\u2019Accord entre l\u2019Italie et Djibouti t\u00e9moigne l\u2019engagement et le soutien de l\u2019Italie en faveur de la R\u00e9publique de Djibouti dans sa trajectoire de croissance \u00e9conomique, ainsi que la profonde et sinc\u00e8re amiti\u00e9 entre les deux Pays.<\/p>\n
L\u2019Accord a \u00e9t\u00e9 sign\u00e9 \u00e0 Addis Abeba par l\u2019Ambassadeur d\u2019Italie, S.E. Arturo Luzzi, et son homologue, S.E.
