And since we cannot avoid love, we will celebrate it in the form of a bestiary\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>Estate all\u2019Italiana Festival with the <\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/campaniateatrofestival.it\/en\/edizione-2021\/\"><strong>Campania Teatro Festival<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>5 July 2021: \u2018I Racconti di Mamma Orca\u2019<\/strong> by <strong>Roberto De Simone<\/strong>, with <strong>Edoardo Catemario<\/strong> (guitar), and the Quartetto Canonico: <strong>Matteo Calosci<\/strong> (violin), <strong>Niccol\u00f2 Musumeci<\/strong> (violin), <strong>Margherita Fanton<\/strong> (viola) and <strong>Zoltan Szabo<\/strong> (cello). A work in five movements, representing the link between the Neapolitan tradition of ancient and folk music, and contemporary music in its most refined sense.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>Estate all\u2019Italiana Festival with the <\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.festivalpianistico.it\/\"><strong>Brescia and Bergamo Piano Festivals<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>7 July 2021:<\/strong> <strong>Brahms<\/strong>\u2018 <strong>\u2018Concerto per pianoforte e orchestra\u2019<\/strong> n.2 performed by the <strong>Festival Philharmonic<\/strong>, <strong>Pier Carlo Orizio<\/strong> conductor, <strong>Francesco Piemontesi<\/strong> (piano).<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>Estate all\u2019Italiana Festival with the <\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ravennafestival.org\/en\/\"><strong>Ravenna Festival<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>9 July 2021:<\/strong> the young musicians of <strong>the Guadagnini Quartet<\/strong>, together with internationally renowned soloist <strong>Enrico Bronzi<\/strong> on the cello, will perform the famous <strong>String Quartet no 12 in C minor<\/strong> by <strong>Franz Schubert<\/strong>. The four string musicians, winners of the prestigious Piero Farulli Prize, and the famous cellist will then perform the <strong>Quintet<\/strong> that the composer finished just two months before his death and the climax of his achievements in chamber music: a work of complex architecture, a sort of harmonic kaleidoscope in which the doubling of the lower register creates an almost symphonic character.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>Estate all\u2019Italiana Festival with the <\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.emiliaromagnafestival.it\/\"><strong>Emilia Romagna Festival<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>12 July 2021:<\/strong> in the evocative setting of the <strong>Abbey of Pomposa<\/strong> the prestigious <strong>Choir of Friuli Venezia Giulia<\/strong>, directed by the <strong>Ernst Hoetzl<\/strong>, with the solo flute by <strong>Boris Bizjak<\/strong>, performs the concert <strong>Cantate and the sacred motets by J.S. Bach<\/strong>, a fascinating program from Bach to Mendelssohn to the contemporary Cristian Carrara with a new composition in world premiere inspired by Dante\u2019s Paradise, \u2018O Somma Luce\u2019 for a cappella choir and flute.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>Estate all\u2019Italiana Festival with <\/strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.areasud.it\/category\/festival\/\"><strong>Areasud<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>16 July 2021:<\/strong> <strong>\u2018Unconvential Folk\u2019<\/strong> by the <strong>Sicily Folk Orchestra<\/strong> is performed at Areasud: an ensemble created to rediscover, reinterpret and promote Sicilian musical traditions in a fully contemporary and modern context, regenerating and promoting the island\u2019s repertoire of folk music by bringing it to Italian squares and theatres and to music festivals around the world.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>Summer at the Italian Festival with<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.festivaldellavalleditria.it\/en\"><strong>Valle d\u2019Itria Festival<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>17 July 2021:<\/strong> the <strong>Orchestra del Teatro Petruzzelli<\/strong> performs <strong>\u2018The Creation\u2019<\/strong> by <strong>F.J. Haydn<\/strong> in the rhythmic Italian version prepared for the Puglia regional festival by the philologist Dario Del Corno and which will be revisited for this new edition by his son Filippo. Directed by Fabio Ceresa and sets by Tiziano Santi.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>Estate all\u2019Italiana Festival with the <\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/piccolofestival.org\/en\/\"><strong>Piccolo Opera Festival<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>19 July 2021<\/strong>: <strong>\u2018Maria de Buenos Aires\u2019<\/strong>, a new co-production by the Teatro Goldoni Livorno. With Arianna Manganello (Maria), Giacomo Medici (baritone) and Gianluca Ferrato (actor). Directed by Igor Zobin.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong> Estate all\u2019Italiana Festival with the<\/strong> <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.figlidartecuticchio.com\/\">Associazione Figli d\u2019Arte Cuticchio<\/a> (ATF)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>21 July 2021:<\/strong> <strong>\u2018Rapsodia Fantastica\u2019 <\/strong>performed by <strong>Nicola Mogavero<\/strong> (sax), <strong>Alessio Pianelli and Francesco Biscari<\/strong> (cellos), <strong>Mauro Vivona<\/strong> (horn) and <strong>Giacomo Cuticchio<\/strong> (piano and conductor). The five musicians combine wind, strings and keys to reproduce the harmonies and melodies composed by Giacomo Cuticchio and inspired by the Teatro dei Pupi, in a lively reinterpretation of the epic world of chivalry.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>Estate all\u2019Italiana Festival with the <\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.puccinifestival.it\/en\/\"><strong>Puccini Festival<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>23 July 2021:<\/strong> <strong>Stefania Sandrelli<\/strong> makes her debut as an opera director with <strong>\u2018Tosca\u2019<\/strong>, a masterpiece that will open the 67th edition of the Puccini Festival.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>Estate all\u2019Italiana Festival with the <\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.sferisterio.it\/\"><strong>Macerata Opera Festival<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>28 July 2021:<\/strong> in the magnificent setting of the colonnade of the Sferisterio, a staging of <strong>\u2018D\u2019un immortale amor\u2019<\/strong>, an original composition by <strong>Silvia Colasanti<\/strong> for speaker, countertenor, string quartet and percussion, with lyrics by Mariangela Gualtieri.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>Estate all\u2019Italiana Festival with <\/strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.fondazioneprometeo.org\/traiettorie\/\"><strong>Traiettorie<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>30 July 2021:<\/strong> concert by the <strong>Ensemble Prometeo<\/strong>, conducted by Marco Angius. The programme involves <strong>close dialogue between the United States and Italy<\/strong> \u2013 instrumentally (the absolute sound of Morton Feldman and the illusionistic geometries of Aldo Clementi) and vocally (the interplay between sound and meaning of Brian Ferneyhough and Franco Donatoni) \u2013 with the participation of mezzo-soprano Katarzyna Otczyk.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>Estate all\u2019Italiana Festival con <a href=\"https:\/\/www.operaestate.it\/it\/\">Opera Estate Festival<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>2 agosto 2021:<\/strong> one hundred years after the death of the composer <strong>Camille Saint Saens<\/strong>, an Italian network of dance organizations creates the <strong>\u2018Swans Never Die\u2019<\/strong> project and invites different artists to work on <strong>\u2018La morte del cigno\u2019<\/strong> as a field of experimentation, between reinvention and quotation, between history and memory. Alongside the classic version interpreted by Virna Toppi, prima ballerina at the Teatro alla Scala, the creations of Chiara Bersani, Collettivo MINE, Silvia Gribaudi, Philippe Kratz and Camilla Monga, accompanied by musicians Filippo Vignato and Emanuele Maniscalco.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>Estate all\u2019Italiana Festival con <a href=\"http:\/\/www.teatrodeldrago.it\/\">Teatro del Drago<\/a> (ATF)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>7 agosto 2021:<\/strong> puppetry show without words, in which images, music and animation come together to recreate <strong>\u2018Pinocchio\u2019<\/strong> and  its playful and colorful atmosphere. The scenography and the puppets are inspired by the images of <strong>Alain Letort<\/strong>, a French artist who paid homage to the famous wooden puppet by creating 12 ink plates, later colored by <strong>Gianni Plazzi<\/strong>. The words become music and lose their meaning, becoming simple sounds that accompany the movements of the puppets moved by four actors-animators.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>Estate all\u2019Italiana Festival with the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tagliacozzofestival.com\/\">Festival Internazionale di Mezza Estate \u2013 Tagliacozzo Festival<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>9 August 2021:<\/strong> the <strong>Orchestra Sinfonica Abruzzese<\/strong> performs <strong>Beethoven\u2019s Triplo Concerto<\/strong> and <strong>Eroica<\/strong> to mark the two hundredth anniversary of Napoleon\u2019s death.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>Estate all\u2019Italiana Festival with the<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.armoniedarte.com\/\"><strong>Armonie d\u2019Arte Festival<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>11 August 2021:<\/strong> the <strong>Ensemble Pietrodarchi<\/strong> in a tribute concert to <strong>Astor Piazzolla<\/strong>, on a journey between Italy and Argentina, on the occasion of the centenary of his birth.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>Estate all\u2019Italiana Festival with the <\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.rossinioperafestival.it\/en\/\"><strong>Rossini Opera Festival<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>18 August 2021:<\/strong> the students of the \u2018Alberto Zedda\u2019 <strong>Accademia Rossiniana<\/strong> perform the <strong>\u2018Journey to Reims\u2019<\/strong>, a playful one-act drama with music by Rossini.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>Estate all\u2019Italiana Festival with the<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.teatroregioparma.it\/en\/homepage\/\"><strong>Verdi Festival<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>21 August 2021:<\/strong> Michele Mariotti, on the podium of the Arturo Toscanini Philharmonic and the Choir of the Teatro Regio di Parma, for the first time conducts <strong>Ernani<\/strong> at the 20th Verdi Festival at the Teatro Regio di Parma.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>Estate all\u2019Italiana Festival with <\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.umbriajazz.it\/en\/\"><strong>Umbria Jazz<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>24 August 2021:<\/strong> Umbria Jazz has organized a very special festival for the <strong>afternoon concerts<\/strong> programme. A series dedicated entirely to Italian orchestras, which, despite the difficulties they have faced, demonstrate extraordinary artistic vitality. A varied cross-section of different styles and visions, with the common denominator of the great allure of large ensembles for the audience.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>Estate all\u2019italiana Festival with  <\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.mittelfest.org\/en\/\"><strong>Mittelfest<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>27 August 2021:<\/strong> opening concert of the 30th edition of Mittelfest. A show created by <strong>FVG Orchestra<\/strong>, in a world premiere: Grigor Palikarov conducts the orchestra, with the participation of the young soloist Erica Piccotti, in a concert dedicated to the <strong>rivers of Europe<\/strong>, along the Rhine of Schumann\u2019s third symphony and Smetana\u2019s Vltava, stopping on the Devil\u2019s Bridge, musically re-imagined for the occasion by Cristian Carrara.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>Estate all\u2019Italiana Festival with<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.borgatedalvivo.it\/\"><strong>Borgate dal Vivo<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>31 August 2021: Isabella Ragonese<\/strong> opens the sixth edition of Borgate dal Vivo with a special event. From the inner courtyard of the Egyptian Museum in Turin, the actress will read excerpts from Italo Calvino\u2019s <strong>\u2018Cosmicomics\u2019<\/strong>.
