The Embassy of Italy in Ethiopia is pleased to welcome Dr. Semen Kumurzhi, the new Director of the Italian Institute of Culture in Addis Ababa.<\/div>\n
Dr. Kumurzhi would like to send the following message to the entire community and friends of Italy:<\/div>\n
\u00a0<\/div>\n
“I take up my position in Ethiopia with great interest and genuine admiration for a Nation so far from Italy, yet united to us by many cultural ties that we will continue to consolidate in close synergy with our Embassy colleagues, the Italian community and all the actors of the Italian “Country System”.<\/em><\/div>\n
The Italian Cultural Institute will be open to more dynamic and intense collaborations with Italian and Ethiopian institutions, artists and scholars to face together the challenges and opportunities of the contemporary world. I will work to build new bridges between our two great cultures, realizing concrete and innovative partnership projects, under the banner of sincere friendship with this country guardian of an extraordinary historical and natural heritage but, at the same time, of such enormous potential in various sectors.”<\/em><\/div>\n
