Please also note that, in accordance with Article 9 of the Visa Code, visa applications may be submitted up to six months before the start of the planned trip.<\/li>\n<li>Visa applicants shall come in person on the day of their appointment, and cannot delegate others, to submit their own visa application\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/ambaddisabeba.esteri.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/43243_f_Formulario.pdf\">form\u00a0<\/a>(duly filled and signed) and all the supporting\u00a0documents\u00a0and provide their\u00a0<strong>fingerprints<\/strong>\u00a0(when required).<\/li>\n<li>Fingerprints will not be collected in the following cases:\n<ul>\n<li>children younger than twelve years of age;<\/li>\n<li>applicants who are physically unable to be fingerprinted;<\/li>\n<li>Heads of State and Head of Government as well as of National Governments members, including their accompanying spouses and members of their official delegation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>There is no subjective right for the applicant to be granted a visa. The final decision on issuing a visa is solely the responsibility of the Embassy of Italy.<\/li>\n<li>The Embassy of Italy in Addis Ababa relies exclusively on the outsourcing services of VFS Global. It is recommended that you DO NOT use any other intermediaries and\/or agencies for appointment booking and visa application processing. The Embassy of Italy wishes to emphasize that <strong>there is no connection between the Embassy itself and such websites, agencies or individuals<\/strong> and reserves the right to take any appropriate legal action.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>VISA APPLICATION FORMS AND DOCUMENTS TO BE PRESENTED<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The supporting documents to be attached to the visa application are detailed on the following pages:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/ambaddisabeba.esteri.it\/en\/servizi-consolari-e-visti\/servizi-per-il-cittadino-straniero\/visti\/visto-di-breve-durata\/\"><strong>Short term visa<\/strong><\/a>, which includes the following visa categories:\n<ul>\n<li>Tourism visa<\/li>\n<li>Business visa<\/li>\n<li>Sport visa<\/li>\n<li>Medical visa<\/li>\n<li>Official<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/ambaddisabeba.esteri.it\/en\/servizi-consolari-e-visti\/servizi-per-il-cittadino-straniero\/visti\/visto-di-lunga-durata\/\"><strong>Long term visa<\/strong><\/a>, which includes the following visa categories:\n<ul>\n<li>Study visa<\/li>\n<li>Dependent work visa<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The visa application and all the supporting documents shall be submitted in hard copy at the time of the appointment. Documents submitted by email or fax will not be filed.<\/p>\n<p>Make sure to be able to submit all necessary documents on the day of your appointment.<\/p>\n<p>You are kindly requested to provide <strong>both original documents and a copy of them<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>In special cases the embassy avails itself the right to require further documents.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>HOW\u00a0<\/strong><strong>DO I<\/strong><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><strong>APPLY FOR<\/strong><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><strong>MY<\/strong><strong>\u00a0VISA?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>VFS Global&#8217;s Visa Application Centre (VAC) is the external partner of the Embassy of Italy in Addis Ababa <\/strong>in charge of acquiring short-term visa applications (Schengen visas up to 90 days). Please be informed that\u00a0<strong>groups of people who have booked a single appointment will result in the acceptance of only one application<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>if you cancel your appointment, you will not be allowed to reschedule it by phone, email or in person.
