The Embassy of Italy in Addis Ababa intends to invite all interested parties to send their expression of interest to participate in the negotiated procedure for the construction works of one gazebo in the premises of the Embassy of Italy in Addis Ababa.
This notice is intended as a mere pre-selective procedure that does not involve preemptive or preferential rights, commitments or constraints of any nature to both the operators concerned and to this Embassy for the awarding of the works at issue. It is only intended to receive expressions of interest in order to facilitate the participation and consultation of the largest number of potentially interested firms and is in no way binding for the Embassy that will subsequently determine the number of eligible parties, to whom a letter of invitation to present their best offer will be sent.
Accordingly, please find below a brief description of the project.

Description of the Project: “CONSTRUCTION OF ONE GAZEBO BLOCK IN THE PREMISES OF THE EMBASSY OF ITALY IN ADDIS ABABA”.

The work involves all the necessary civil works to accomplish the Project: earth-works, reinforced concrete skeleton works, masonry works, steel structure works, aluminium works, basic finishing works and electrical works.

The block will cover an approximate area of 50 m² and has a rectangular shape.

The price of the offer will include everything necessary to carry out the works in a good workmanlike manner, at the entire satisfaction of the Employer, such as: materials, manpower, direct and indirect costs, fee and taxes, permissions and authorization by competent Authorities.

Bidders offer will be on labor cost + material basis.

The amount indicated in the offer will be considered comprehensive also of the implementation of the Safety Plan in execution Phase – that must be delivered, from the Contractor to the Embassy, within 7 days from the signature of the contract.

The successful bidder will be expected to complete the work within a short time.

The Contract will be a Lump sum contract.

The Embassy has the right to continue or stop the bidding procedure due to whatever reason that it may have.

Costs of the construction works: the maximum available budget allocated for the Project is 2,350,000.00 Ethiopian birr, net of indirect taxes.
Companies that possess the general requirements and professional suitability for activities consistent with the works indicated above and that intend to receive a formal invitation letter for the submission of their offer, must send a request for participation in the selection, including appropriate documentation (in particular: Company Profile, Chamber of Commerce registration certificate and or Business Licence, TIN Registration Certificate and any other additional document) by no later than 1 p.m. of Friday, November 4, 2022:

or delivery by hand to the Administrative Office of the Embassy of Italy in Addis Ababa, from Tuesday to Friday during the hours from 10.00 to 13.00.
Declarations of interest will not be declared admissible if:

have been received beyond the deadline;
-
they are incomplete in the essential parts;

they do not comply with local regulations.
The Companies will be contacted by means of a formal letter of invitation, which will set the general terms and conditions of the works to be entrusted, including the selection procedure.
The sending of the expression of interest is subject to the explicit authorization by the Contractor to process the data provided, including the consent to carry out all necessary verifications with the competent local authorities on the truthfulness of the declarations made about the possession of the requirements and the full acceptance of the provisions of this notice.
