The Embassy of Italy in Ethiopia is pleased to welcome Dr. Semen Kumurzhi, the new Director of the Italian Institute of Culture in Addis Ababa.
Dr. Kumurzhi would like to send the following message to the entire community and friends of Italy:
“I take up my position in Ethiopia with great interest and genuine admiration for a Nation so far from Italy, yet united to us by many cultural ties that we will continue to consolidate in close synergy with our Embassy colleagues, the Italian community and all the actors of the Italian “Country System”.
The Italian Cultural Institute will be open to more dynamic and intense collaborations with Italian and Ethiopian institutions, artists and scholars to face together the challenges and opportunities of the contemporary world. I will work to build new bridges between our two great cultures, realizing concrete and innovative partnership projects, under the banner of sincere friendship with this country guardian of an extraordinary historical and natural heritage but, at the same time, of such enormous potential in various sectors.”
L’Ambasciata d’Italia in Etiopia ha il piacere di dare il benvenuto al Dott. Semen Kumurzhi, nuovo Direttore dell’Istituto Italiano di Cultura di Addis Abeba.
Il Dott. Kumurzhi desidera far pervenire a tutta la collettività ed agli amici dell’Italia il seguente messaggio:
“Assumo il mio incarico in Etiopia con grande interesse e autentica ammirazione per una Nazione così lontana dall’Italia, eppure unita a noi da molti legami culturali che continueremo a consolidare in stretta sinergia con i colleghi della nostra Ambasciata, la comunità italiana e tutti gli attori del “Sistema Paese”.
L’Istituto Italiano di Cultura sarà aperto a più dinamiche ed intense collaborazioni con Istituzioni, artisti e studiosi italiani ed etiopi per affrontare insieme le sfide e le opportunità del mondo contemporaneo. Lavorerò per costruire nuovi ponti tra le nostre due grandi culture, realizzando progetti di partenariato concreti e innovativi, all’insegna della sincera amicizia con questo Paese custode di un patrimonio storico e naturale straordinario ma, al tempo stesso, di così enormi potenzialità in vari settori.”
