Call for applications for scholarships offered by the Italian Government to foreign students and Italians residing abroad (IRE) for the academic year 2019-2020

The Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation has started the procedures for the allocation of scholarships granted by the Italian Government to foreign students for the academic year 2019-2020. It provides guidelines and instructions, including deadlines, for the application of the provisions contained in the call.

The call containing the instructions for the submission of applications and the guidelines for the selection process of applications is published on the portal dedicated to scholarships, Study in Italy (https://studyinitaly.esteri.it). On this platform are reported, both in Italian and in English, all the useful information for students who have won a scholarship for an easier stay in Italy, including the instructions for registration with the chosen institution, the arrangements for the quarterly payment of the months of the scholarship and insurance coverage.

The call for applications will be open until 14.00 (Italian time) on 30 May 2019; applications received after the deadline will be considered inadmissible. We will therefore be grateful to this office if you want to advertise the call through the channels deemed most appropriate according to the local context (website, institutions, universities, local press, Italian community, etc..), in collaboration with the Italian Institutes of Culture, the readership, and the network of Scientific Attachés, if any.

It should be noted that also for the academic year 2019-2020 certain access criteria will be in force, both in terms of the age limit of the candidates and as regards the type of scholarships.
