The Italian Ambassador to Ethiopia, Giuseppe Mistretta, and the Country Director of the World Bank, Mrs. Carolyn Turk, signed a supplemental arrangement to contribute with additional funds to the “Multi Donor Trust Fund for the Ethiopia General Education Quality Improvement Project II” (GEQIP II). The third tranche of the pledged funding, which is funded and acknowledged by the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation, has a budget of 1 million Euros.
The signing ceremony, held at the World Bank premises in Addis Ababa, was attended by Mrs. Ginevra Letizia, Director of the Addis Ababa Office of the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation, and by representatives of the Ministry of Education of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia.
